Upholstery
18th Century Daybed from Hardwick Hall
The National Trust.
The embroidered top cover of the daybed was treated without interfering with the original upholstery. Areas of loss were supported and infilled with sympathetically dyed silk fabric. Loose metal threads were secured. Edging braids were protected by covering with dyed conservation net.
Freud's Consulting Couch
The Freud Museum.
The iconic couch was removed from Freud's study for conservation and analysis. All work was carried out at the museum in full view of visitors and the entire process was filmed by Jeremy Millar.
